Each winter, Dance Victoria produces Dance Days, a 10-day celebration of dance with free classes, workshops, and performances at local dance studios and other venues.
Broken Rhythms is once again participating in this community event and we would love for you to join us!

Broken Rhythms exclusively works and creates in the dance style of Rhythmical Contemporary. For Dance Days, Broken Rhythms is donating two Rhythmical Contemporary workshops, (one for Beginner dancers and another class for Intermediate/Advanced dancers).
Dance Style Description: Come learn the unique, fun and quirky dance style of Rhythmical Contemporary. With rhythmical inspiration from jazz and movement inspired by modern dance Rhythmical Contemporary is a unique dance experience that you have to experience.
Location: Second floor of 716 Johnson street (Special thanks to Raino Dance Studio which is graciously donating the space). Make sure to pre-register as a Gate Code is required and will be sent out to registered students 24 hours before event.
Dates & Times : Sunday January 18th Rhythmical Contemporary (Beginner level) 12-1pm Rhythmical Contemporary (Intermediate/advanced level) 1-2pm.
How to sign up: Registration opens Jan 5th. Reserve your spot by emailing brokenrhythmsvictoria@gmail.com. Please specify the level you are planning on attending. Expect an email 24hr before the class with any updates and gate code.
Excerpt of 1,000 Pieces of π
Experience a 20 minute excerpt of ‘1,000 Pieces of π’ by Broken Rhythms Dance Company, followed by a Q&A 5:00–6:00 pm, Sunday, January 25.
One of the highlights of Dance Days is the opportunity to experience Rough Cuts (works-in-progress) by some of Victoria’s leading dance artists and choreographers. All performances are followed by informal Q&As where the artists answer your questions about the work that they’re creating. Rough Cuts performances are free and accessible to the public, with donations encouraged.
