Phase two of development (Done): Supported by Raino residency program.
Phase three of development (Scheduled to start at the end of September 2026)
About Creative Process:
Dyana’s past three main projects have ranged from a work that explored neurodiverse learning styles to a work that looked at chronic pain and another that drew inspiration from a rather unpleasant 8 hour ‘On Hold’ phone call. Dyana’s works usually start with a question or a curiosity and through the creative process the answers either present themselves or it leads to new questions. Her work usually unpacks a universal truth and she has been praised for her intricate and exceptional choreography and the multi-layered meanings in her work.
About New work: The creation of Bite & Breath is rooted in Broken Rhythms Dance Company’s collaborative and research-driven practice. The creative process combines scientific inquiry with physical exploration, allowing movement to emerge from observation rather than imitation.
