Company Summary: Broken Rhythms is an independent non-profit dance company that works in the unique style of Rhythmical Contemporary. This company is committed to community, creativity, providing opportunity for dancers on the island and continues to challenge norms around contemporary dance. Broken Rhythms Dance Company is growing fast! Broken Rhythms premiered a unique and successful work KNOTTED at McPherson Playhouse, are touring this summer with the production 1,000 prices of π and have LASHBASH/ workshops / Community Collaborations just around the corner.
Board Position Summary:
This volunteer position will work in a collaborative environment to provide governance, financial stability and a willingness to give back to the community. We are looking for people who are excited by what we do and want to create a thriving future for Broken Rhythms and dance on the Island.
Broken Rhythms is now accepting statements of interest to join our Board of Directors.

These messages can include, why you would like to join the Broken Rhythms Board, highlight any experience or personal strengths and possible contributions you feel you could provide.
Looking for members at large.
Commitment:
- Meetings approximately six times a year plus AGM
- Attendance at Broken Rhythms events
- Completion of action Items assigned at board meetings
- Help with Fundraising goals, community outreach and overall success of Broken Rhythms
- Create a welcoming, fun and inclusive environment at all meetings and events
Not quite ready to join a Board but might want to in the future ?
We would still love to hear from you and invite you to strategic planning meetings and/or hold roles on special committees. This allows you to get to know the company and support but not have to commit to all the meetings.
