Double Feature 1,000 Pieces of ∏ & 52 Stories

Broken Rhythms is excited to announce a double feature show with the Broken Rhythms Dance Company and Dave Morris.

2 shows one night. Join us for an evening of memories, storytelling, dancing, and pie as two renowned local creators bring their shows to the stage.

1,000 Pieces of Pie

Have you ever experienced math phobia and wanted to dance about it? Broken Rhythms is ready to serve up some delicious dancing π with a twist (and a few turns).

Diagnosed with Dyscalculia and other learning disabilities at a young age, creator and choreographer Dyana Sonik-Henderson will be demonstrating in real time how she uses her body’s ability to memorize choreography to remember the first 1,000 Numbers of ∏.

1,000 Pieces of π is the first act of its kind in that it investigates the mind-body connection by utilizing the constraints of the never-ending and never-repeating sequence of the number π (3.14) to create a full and yet ‘irrational’ dance show.

You will never look at π the same way again.

52 Stories

52 Stories is a storytelling show that takes place inside the memory palace of Pick-of-the-Fringe award winning storyteller and improviser Dave Morris. One part memorization trick, one part storytelling show. Come and enjoy some heartwarming and heartbreaking stories of family, friends, love, loss, and of course, memory.

What are the things you remember? What are the things you never want to forget?
