Job Posting-Broken Rhythms Operations Director

Broken Rhythms is hiring a part time Operations Director.

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for dance, art and community and would love to help Broken Rhythms reach new heights and be instrumental in the growth of the company.

Length of Contract: 6 Months

Hours: Part-time, up to 5 hrs weekly (estimate)

Wage: $20 per hour

This individual will be working closely with Broken Rhythms Artistic/Executive Director and the Broken Rhythms Victoria Society Board of Directors.

Responsibilities/ Experience

We are looking for individuals who have a background in one or more of the elements mentioned below and a willingness to be trained in others.

Grant Writing and Application Management

  • Applicants should be comfortable doing grant research. This includes drafting funding proposals, submitting required materials, managing/tracking all components of application process, and supporting report back activities to meet grant requirements.

Advertising and Promotion

  • Supports Artistic Director in activities aimed at raising the profile of Broken Rhythms and promoting performances and fundraising events. This includes supporting online advertisement using social media, engagement with media to expand reach of promotional activities, and managing website updates.

Production/Community Engagement

  • Assists Artistic Director to coordinate and manage fundraising events and performances. This includes supporting in the planning and management of events, providing support to make sure Broken Rhythms is accessible to the community we serve, coordinating volunteers, assisting with production related activities (e.g. management of costumes and props) .
